Download Tunnelblick
User the link above to save to the desktop and double click on the file as shown below. The default locations for downloads on the Mac is the 'Downloads' folder. If your machine is set to default, go to Finder / Your User Name / Downloads and drag the file to the desktop.
Double click on the Tunnelblick icon below to launch the installer
Click on 'Open'
If the screen below pops up, enter your Mac user name and password
Click 'Launch'
Click 'I have configuration files'
Click 'OpenVPN Configurations'
Click 'Open Private Configurations Folder'
This window will pop up
Drag this popup window out of the way for the moment
At the same time that the above window opens, the below Finder window will also open and be already opened to the Configurations folder as shown. Do not close this Finder window.
Download and save this configuration file. (NOTE: It will likely default to your 'Downloads' folder, unless you have changed that default.) Go to 'Downloads' and double click on the 'personalvpn.zip' file. It will extract to a folder named 'Personalvpn' as shown in the lower part of the picture below. From the personalvpn folder, drag all four files to the 'Configurations' folder, as shown .
Click 'Done' on the window called 'Private Configuration Folder is Open' (that you had previously moved aside). Close all remaining Finder windows.
Click on the Tunnelblick icon and select 'Connect personalvpn'. It will try to connect.
The first time you try to connect, it will ask for your Mac user and password to set permissions (do not enter your personalvpn password here). Enter your Mac credentials.
A new window will pop up asking for your personalvpn user name and password. Enter it here (NOTE: Do not cut and paste from the registration email -- type it in manually. If you wish to save it, check the box in the window).
You are connected once the Tunnelblick icon turns white.
